La China Airlines di Taiwan, nell'ambito del programma di rinnovo della flotta, ha preso in consegna il primo dei quattordici Airbus A 330-300 ordinati. La commessa per gli A 330 era stata siglata nel dicembre 2002, poco dopo l'entrata in servizio del fratello maggiore a lungo raggio A 340, avvenuta nel 2001. Le consegne dei nuovi bimotori A 330 proseguiranno fino al 2007.
Gli A 330 della China Airlines, equipaggiati con turbofan General Electric CF6-80E1, saranno impiegati sulla rete dei collegamenti regionali in configurazione da 36 posti in Dynasty Supreme Class e 277 in Economy.

China Airlines of Taiwan has taken delivery of the first of fourteen ordered Airbus A 330-300s, with the new aircraft being part of the carrier's fleet renewal programme. The A 330 order was placed in December 2002 and followed the introduction into service of the longer range A 340 sister in 2001. Deliveries of the new A 330s will continue through until 2007.
China Airlines' A 330s will be operated on the carrier's regional network and will be configured with 36 Dynasty Supreme Class seats and 277 Economy seats. All aircraft will be powered by General Electric CF6-80E1 engines.
