Le società azioniste sono la Sukhoi Holding che detiene il 75% più un’azione e l’italiana Alenia Aeronautica che possiede il 25% più un’azione dal 7 aprile 2009. La Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company è stata fondata nel 2000 per il progetto di un nuovo aereo regionale. La società ha la propria sede a Mosca, mentre alcuni rami di azienda si trovano nelle città di Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Novosibirsk and Voronezh. Attualmente l’azienda impiega più di 2000 dipendenti. Il Sukhoi Superjet 100 è una nuova famiglia di jet regionali e rappresenta il più importante progetto della società. Il prototipo del Sukhoi Superjet 100 ha effettuato il roll-out il 26 settembre 2007 a Komsomolsk-on Amur, mentre il primo volo è avvenuto con successo lo scorso 19 maggio 2008. Il 24 ottobre del 2008, dopo aver completato i test preliminari, l’aereo ha iniziato la sua campagna di voli di certificazione. Il secondo prototipo è stato mandato in volo il 24 dicembre 2008. Finora il SSJ-100 ha ricevuto ordini per un totale di 122 esemplari.

The Company’s shareholders are the Sukhoi Holding owing 75% - 1 share and the Italian Alenia Aeronautica holding 25% + 1 share since April 7, 2009. Sukhoi Civil Aircraft was founded in 2000 to develop new regional aircraft projects. Headquartered in Moscow, the Company enjoys several production branches seated in the cities of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Novosibirsk and Voronezh. Today the company employs over 2,000 people. Sukhoi Superjet 100 – a new family of regional jets – is the Company’s major project. The aircraft was rolled out on September 26, 2007 in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. On May 19, 2008, the first Sukhoi Superjet 100 performed its maiden flight there. On October 24, 2008, after successful completion of factory flight tests, the aircraft emerged into certification flight campaign. The second flying prototype took to the skies on December 24, 2008. Currently, the solid order portfolio for the new regional jet reaches 122 aircraft.
