Offshore Logistics, Inc. (OLOG) ha annunciato l'acquisto dalla Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. di quattro Bell 412EP, con opzione per altri otto esemplari dell'elicottero medio biturbina.
La Offshore Logistics è uno dei maggiori operatori mondiali di elicotteri, specializzato nell'attività logistica per conto dell'industria estrattiva in varie parti del pianeta. Attraverso le proprie sussidiiarie, affiliate e joint ventures, OLOG fornisce servizi di trasporto in alcune delle principali aree dove si produce petrolio e gas naturale, Golfo del Messico, Mare del Nord, Africa, Centro e Sud America, Australia ed Estremo Oriente.
Il Bell 412EP, ultima versione civile dell'immortale Huey, prodotto anche dall'Agusta su licenza, è da anni uno dei più diffusi e versatili elicotteri presenti sul mercato. Esso è utilizzato nel trasporto in genere ma anche per i servizi medici d'emergenza, il trasporto VIP, le missioni di ricerca e salvataggio, oltre a compiti di polizia. Quasi 500 Bell 412 sono attualmente in servizio.

Offshore Logistics, Inc. announced today it has signed a purchase agreement with Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. for four Bell 412EP medium twin engine helicopters with an option for an additional eight aircraft.
