Venerdì 3 dicembre, migliaia di dipendenti Boeing hanno partecipato alla cerimonia di roll out del 500° esemplare Del bireattore B.777. L’aereo sarà consegnato fra pochi giorni alla International Lease Finance Corp. che a sua volta lo passerà all’ utilizzatore Air France. Il B.777, raggiungendo questo traguardo, si è dimostrato l’aereo di linea “twin-aisle” con il ritmo di vendita più elevato nella storia dell’aviazione civile. Un totale di 38 compagnie aeree ne hanno già ordinati 647 esemplari.

Thousands of Boeing employees celebrated the ceremonial roll out of the 500th B.777 commercial airplane Friday, Dec. 3. The aircraft is scheduled for delivery to International Lease Finance Corp. and operator Air France later this month. The B.777, the fastest-selling twin-aisle airplane ever, will reach 500 airplanes delivered faster than any other twin-aisle airplane in commercial history. Thirty-eight customers have ordered 647 aircraft of this type.
