Sono state recentemente unite le tre sezioni principali del 500° B.777, in assemblaggio nello stabilimento di Everett (Washington). L'aereo, un serie 300ER (Extended Range), sarà consegnato il prossimo dicembre all'Air France, tramite il noleggiatore International Lease Finance Corporation.
Il primo B.777 venne consegnato nel maggio 1995. Pertanto questo modello ha raggiunto il traguardo dei 500 esemplari prima di qualunque altro tipo di aereo a doppio corridoio nella storia dell'aviazione commerciale. Il Boeing 777 si è aggiudicato il 65% del suo segmento di mercato dal lancio avvenuto nell'ottobre 1990. Esso è stato ordinato in 642 esemplari da 37 operatori e clienti di tutto il mondo.

The three main sections of the 500th B.777, which is assembled at the company's Everett, Wash. Plant, are joined. The airplane, a 300ER (Extended Range) series, is scheduled for delivery to International Lease Finance Corp.'s customer Air France in December.
The first B.777 was delivered in May 1995. The type has reached 500 airplanes delivered sooner than any other twin-aisle airplane in commercial history. The Boeing 777 has captured 65 percent of its market since the airplane's October 1990 launch. Thirty-seven customers and operators worldwide have ordered 642 airplanes.
