Seventieth Anniversary of the Italian Air Force Association

The Italian Air Force Association (Associazione Arma Aeronautica) was founded in Turin on February 29, 1952, thanks to the enterprising spirit of a group of aviators returning from the skies of World War II. The initiative quickly gained traction nationally, along with other local chapters, to protect and perpetuate the moral legacy of glory and prestige of the Italian Air Force. The association is open to all air force personnel, both military and civilian, of all ranks, roles, and ages, both retired and active, who are passionate about aeronautical sport and the advancement of flight. Subsequently moving to Rome as its National Headquarters, the association was established as a non-profit organization by Presidential Decree No. 575 of May 13, 1955. Today, it has approximately 36,000 members, divided into 252 Chapters and 193 "Nuclei" operating throughout Italy and abroad.
The Turin Section, named in memory of MOVM (Gold Medal for Military Valor) Lieutenant Pilot Andrea Brezzi, organizes thematic conferences, rallies, participations in events, and tours of air bases and museums. It also shares and coordinates its activities with the Susa, Vinovo, and Cirič local Units.
