La Boeing e la RwandAir hanno annunciato un ordine per due esemplari del bireattore B.737-800. Basata a Kigali, capitale del Rwanda, la compagnia aerea rinnova ed aumenta la flotta per espandere la propria rete di collegamenti. Attualmente la RwandAir utilizza una piccola flotta di aerei regionali di costruzione Bombardier.
"I Boeing 737-800 ci consentiranno di raggiungere nuovi importanti scali in Africa ed in Medio oriente" ha dichiarato il presidente della RwandAir John Mirenge "Essi saranno le ammiraglie della nostra flotta."

Boeing and RwandAir today announced an order for two B.737-800 twin-jet airlinerss. Based in Kigali, Rwanda, the airline is renewing and expanding its fleet to broaden its network. RwandAir currently operates a small fleet of Bombardier regional jets.
"Boeing 737-800s will enable us to eventually expand to regional hubs across Africa and the Middle East," said John Mirenge, RwandAir chairman. "They will become the mainstay of our fleet."
