Air France Orders Two Boeing B.747-400F Freighters
Air France placed recently an order for two B.747-400Fs, the current all-cargo version of the Boeing wide-body airliner. The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery in October 2002.
The French national carrier will use the new aircraft, with a maximum payload of 113 metric tons, for its freight services to Bangkok, Mexico City, Hong Kong and São Paulo.
Air France is already operating eleven B.747-200s in various all-cargo configurations.
