Due Boeing B.777 Freighter sono stati consegnati alla Southern Air Holdings. Sono i primi B.777 acquisiti dal vettore specializzato cargo basato a Norwalk, nel Connecticut (USA).
Southern Air, a sua volta, opererà i due B.777F per conto della Thai Airways International, che diventerà la prima compagnia aerea nel Sud Est Asiatico ad impiegare questo tipo di aereo sulle proprie rotte cargo.
L’acquisizione di questi due aeroplani rende la Southern Air il primo operatore ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, Insurance) a disporre del nuovo B.777 Freighter.

Two Boeing B.777 Freighters have been delivered to Southern Air Holdings, the first B.777s to join the Norwalk, Connecticut-based cargo carrier’s fleet.
Southern Air has entered into an agreement to operate the two B.777F on behalf of Thai Airways International, which will become the first carrier in Southeast Asia to offer this capability to its freight customers.
The addition of these two airplanes makes Southern Air the world’s first ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, Insurance) operator to feature the B.777 Freighter.
