Air Algérie ha firmato un contratto con l’Airbus per l’acquisto di cinque bireattori a fusoliera larga A 330-200 per rinnovare la flotta di wide-body attualmente in servizio. Le consegne dei velivoli inizieranno nel gennaio 2005. Questa transazione potrà essere finanziata tramite le apposite agenzie europee di credito all’esportazione. Nella configurazione di cabina scelta da Air Algérie, l’A 330-200 potrà accogliere 302 passeggeri in tre classi.
La scelta dell’A 330 da parte dell’Air Algérie rafforza il successo commerciale per gli aerei della famiglia A 330/A 340 nella categoria medio-lungo raggio. Complessivamente gli A 330 e 340 hanno già raccolto 815 ordini da parte di oltre 60 vettori.

Air Algérie has signed a contract with Airbus for the purchase of five wide-body twin-engined A 330-200s to renew its current wide-body fleet. Delivery of the aircraft will begin in January 2005. The transaction is eligible for financial support by the European Export Credit Agencies. In Air Algérie’s standard layout, the A 330-200 will offer a three class configuration of up to 302 seats.
Air Algérie’s selection of the A 330 further reinforces the success of the A 330/A340 Family as the preferred medium to long-range aircraft among airlines worldwide. The A 330/A 340 Family has booked 815 total orders from more than 60 customers to date.
