La Repubblica Ceca ha ordinato due Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ), entrando così a far parte del numero crescente di clienti sia pubblici che privati che hanno scelto questo tipo di aeromobile, di cui sono già state vendute oltre 70 unità.
La Repubblica Ceca ha scelto di equipaggiare i propri ACJ con motori CFM International CFM56-5, in grado di consumare molto meno carburante rispetto ai due Tupolev Tu-154M che dovranno sostituire e, più in generale, consentiranno notevoli risparmi alla flotta del Governo in termini di costi operativi e di manutenzione. Per il trasporto VIP, le Forze Aeree Ceche utilizzano anche due trigetti Yak-40 ed un Bombardier Challenger 601-3A. Gli ACJ potranno essere allestiti per trasportare truppe militari o rappresentanti di governo, grazie alla possibilità di riconfigurare la cabina, che sarà allestita ad Amburgo da Lufthansa Technik.
Il Governo della Repubblica Ceca è il terzo in Europa ad aver scelto gli Airbus ACJ, che sono già in servizio nelle flotte di Stato italiana e francese. Gli Airbus ACJ sono attualmente utilizzati anche dai governi di Azerbagian, Brasile, Qatar, Thailandia, Venezuela e diversi stati mediorientali.
Della Famiglia Airbus ACJ fanno parte l’A 318 Elite, l’ACJ e l’A 320 Prestige, derivati dai celebri A 318, A 319 e A 320, gli aerei che offrono la cabina più larga, più alta e più confortevole di qualsiasi corporate jet e hanno il design più moderno, un’eccellente affidabilità e tutti i vantaggi derivanti dalla rete mondiale di assistenza Airbus.

The Czech Republic has ordered two Airbus Corporate Jetliners (ACJs), joining the growing number of governments and private customers that have chosen the aircraft following an official call for tender. Total sales of the Airbus ACJ Family now stand at some 70 aircraft.
The Czech Republic has selected CFM International CFM56-5 engines to power its Airbus ACJs, which will consume much less fuel than the two Tupolev Tu-154M three-jet airliners that they will replace. Overall, the Airbus ACJs will deliver valuable savings in operational and maintenance costs to the government fleet. For the VIP transport role, the Czech Air Force uses also two small Yak-40 three-jet airliners and a Bombardier Challenger 601-3A. A quick-change kit will allow the Czech Republic’s ACJs to transport either troops or government officials, allowing the most efficient use of the aircraft. Cabin-outfitting will be carried out by Lufthansa Technik, at Hamburg.
The Czech Republic is the third European government to have selected the Airbus ACJ, which is already in service with the Italian and French Air Forces. Other governments that have selected the Airbus ACJ include those of Azebaijan, Brazil, Qatar, Thailand and Venezuela – as well as several Middle East states.
