AgustaWestland presenta l’AW 119 Ke - Koala enhanced
AgustaWestland ha colto l’occasione dell’Heli-Expo 2007 di Orlando (Florida) per annunciare il nuovo elicottero AW 119 Ke (Koala enhanced), evoluzione del diffuso A 119 Koala. Con un peso massimo al decollo salito a 2.850 Kg (6.283 libbre), il Koala enhanced offre un rapporto carico/autonomia ai vertici della categoria degli elicotteri monomotore. Le caratteristiche del nuovo AW 119 Koala enhanced hanno immediatamente attratto l’interesse del mercato, con ordini già pervenuti da operatori off-shore, antincendio e trasporto VIP.
Grazie all’accoppiamento della prestante turbina Pratt & Whitney da 1.002 shp con le nuove pale del rotore principale, l’AW 119 Ke incrementa le prestazioni in un inviluppo di volo ottimizzato per i climi caldi e l’attività in quota a pieno carico. AW 139 off-shore per la brasiliana Senior Táxi Aéreo
Dal maggio 2007, l’opertore brasiliano Senior Táxi Aéreo comincerà ad utilizzare il primo di tre elicotteri medi AW 139 per attività off-shore. Si tratterà del primo esemplare di questo nuovo tipo di elicottero ad essere impiegato dall’industria estrattiva brasiliana. Senior Táxi Aéreo, basata a Rio de Janeiro, opera una flotta di elicotteri medi, ed è uno dei principali fornitori di servizi di trasporto verso le piattaforme petrolifere.
L’AW 139 è particolarmente adatto all’attività off-shore, grazie all’ampia cabina ed ai capaci bagagliai che consentono di trasportare comodamente da 12 a 15 passeggeri. Le due turbine P&W PT6C-67C consentono all’AW 139 ottime prestazioni in tutte le condizioni operative. Sono già stati ordinati più di 210 esemplari di AW 139, che continua ad essere l’elicottero più venduto della sua classe. Aerolíneas Ejecutivas compra sette elicotteri AgustaWestland
Aerolíneas Ejecutivas (ALE), distributore unico AgustaWestland in Messico, aumenta la propria disponibilità di altri sette elicotteri con l’acquisto di due A 109E Power, due A 109S Grand, due AW 119 Ke ed un AW 139.
ALE ha quasi quarant’anni di esperienza nel campo della vendita, noleggio, gestione e manutenzione di velivoli nuovi ed usati. Dal febbraio 2006, ALE ricopre il ruolo di Centro di Servizio Autorizzato AgustaWestland per il Messico. Nel luglio 2006, al Salone di Farnborough, ALE ha firmato un accordo per svolgere anche il ruolo di distributore locale AgustaWestland.
Basata all’aeroporto internazionale di Toluca, vicino a Città del Messico, ALE provvede alla manutenzione, alla riparazione ed allo stoccaggio di parti di ricambio per la gamma di elicotteri AgustaWestland che comprende AW 119 Ke, A 109E Power, A 109S Grand ed AW 139. Sloane Helicopters ordina tredici elicotteri AgustaWestland
Sloane Helicopters Ltd (UK), nell’ambito del contratto di distribuzione di elicotteri civili AgustaWestland, siglato nel febbraio 2006 (per un minimo di 44 macchine), ha ordinato altri 13 aeromobili da consegnarsi entro il 2010. Quest’ordine della Sloane Helicopters si aggiunge a quello dell’anno scorso per dieci elicotteri.
La Sloane Helicopters collabora dal 1996 alle vendite dell’AgustaWestland nel Regno Unito ed in Irlanda. Durante questi undici anni, la Sloane ha piazzato più di quaranta elicotteri nella sua area di competenza. Sloane svolge anche l’attività di Service Centre, manutenzione ed addestramento per gli elicotteri AgustaWestland nel Regno Unito. La presenza AgustaWestland sul mercato britannico, per i bimotori leggeri civili, raggiunge già il 70%, con più di 50 A 109E Power ed A 109S Grand in servizio. I pompieri di Los Angeles ordinano due AgustaWestland AW 139
Il LAFD (Los Angeles Fire Department) ha siglato un contratto con AgustaWestland per l’acquisto di due elicotteri medi AW 139 antincendio. Si tratta dei primi due AW 139 comprati dal LAFD ed i primi in assoluto che saranno impiegati in questo ruolo. Le missioni comprenderanno anche ricerca e soccorso, servizio medico d’emergenza e pubblica sicurezza.
“La collaborazione tra LAFD ed il costruttore ha permesso di predisporre un velivolo che risponderà perfettamente ai requisiti del Dipartimento, presenti e futuri”, ha detto Doug Barry, Fire Chief della municipalità di Los Angeles. “Grazie alla potenza dei propulsori, l’elicottero AW 139 avrà elevata velocità e notevoli margini di sicurezza operativa. La possibilità di operare come antincendio, EMS oppure elisoccorso, rappresenterà un grande passo in avanti per il Los Angeles Fire Department. Non vediamo l’ora che arrivi il primo AW 139 nel 2008.” Ha concluso Barry. Dieci elicotteri AgustaWestland per Synergy Aerospace
La brasiliana Synergy Aerospace, divisione del gruppo Synergy, ha ordinato all’AgustaWestland dieci elicotteri di vari tipi: AW 119 Ke, A 109E Power, A 109S Grand ed AW 139, tutti con consegna entro il 2009. Questo contratto s’inquadra nell’accordo multiennale di distribuzione, firmato nel 2006, che prevede l’acquisizione di non meno di 56 elicotteri. Un primo lotto di otto macchine era già stato ordinato da Sinergy Aerospace l’anno passato.
Si tratta del terzo più importante contratto siglato per elicotteri AgustaWestland in Sud America. I nuovi elicotteri, che usciranno dalle linee di montaggio finale di Filadelfia (USA) e Vergiate, verranno impiegati per trasporto VIP e supporto attività off-shore.
I bimotori leggeri dell’AgustaWestland sono molto diffusi in Brasile, con circa 45 esemplari in servizio. Questo numero, che raggiungerà le 65 unità entro il 2008, rappresenta il 60% del mercato locale, per questa categoria di macchine. (comunicato stampa AgustaWestland - 1 marzo 2007)
Primo AgustaWestland Grand in Canada per Rotor-City
Rotor-City Inc. di Mississauga, in Ontario, riceverà il primo elicottero A 109S Grand venduto in Canada. Questo nuovo Grand sarà operato per conto di un privato, per spostamenti di lavoro e trasporto personale. Per inciso, Rotor-City è stato anche il primo operatore canadese dell’A 109E Power. L’esemplare di Grand oggetto della transazione sarà assemblato a Vergiate e riceverà l’allestimento finale di cabina nelle officine AgustaWestland di Filadelfia. Le strutture statunitensi dell’AgustaWestland si occupano di vendita, customerizzazione, parti di ricambio e supporto tecnico per i modelli A 109E Power, AW 119 Ke, A 109S Grand ed AW 139 venduti a clienti che operano nelle Americhe. Un AW 119 Koala enhanced per Mr. Gilgan
Il signor Peter Gilgan di Toronto, Ontario (Canada), Capo Azienda della Mattamy Corporation, ha deciso di acquistare un elicottero AW 119 Ke. Mr. Gilgan ha scelto l’AW 119 Ke valutando positivamente le prestazioni e la spaziosità della cabina, rispetto ad altri modelli della stessa categoria. Gilgan ha dichiarato, "L’AgustaWestland AW 119 Ke mi farà risparmiare molto tempo. Le sue caratteristiche mi consentiranno rapidi spostamenti per lavoro, durante la settimana, e per svago, durante il week-end.” L’elicottero per Mr. Gilgan sarà assemblato ed allestito presso le officine AgustaWestland di Filadelfia (USA). TriState CareFlight espande la flotta EMS
TriState CareFlight ha nuovamente accresciuto la propria flotta di elicotteri per impiego EMS (Emergency Medical Services) ordinando un altro Koala, nella nuova variante AW 119 Ke. Con il nuovo mezzo, TriState CareFlight amplierà la propria attività, fornendo un servizio sempre più efficace nel trasporto aereo d’emergenza.
L’AW 119 Ke sarà costruito nel nuovo stabilimento AgustaWestland di Filadelfia in Pennsylvania. Equipaggi e personale tecnico verranno addestrati presso il nuovo centro training che sarà inaugurato a metà 2007, sempre a Filadelfia.

Kaan Havacilik compra Grand ed AW 139
La Kaan Havacilik (Turchia) ha ordinato tre elicotteri A 109S Grand e due AW 139. La transazione conferma il notevole tasso di crescita delle vendite di macchine AgustaWestland sul mercato elicotteristico turco, portando a dieci, negli ultimi due anni, il numero di elicotteri venduti in quel paese.
Kaan Havacilik, basata ad Istanbul, è un operatore che commercializza elicotteri e servizi correlati, oltre a fornire direttamente trasporto aereo in generale. La società, ched già acquistato alcuni monomotori A 119 Koala, svolge anche la funzione di distributore di elicotteri civili AgustaWestland in Turchia.
Oltre 120 A 109S Grand sono stati ordinati ad oggi. Dotato di due turboalberi Pratt & Whitney PW207C con controllo elettronico (FADEC), questo mezzo è la soluzione ideale per trasporto VIP, emergenza sanitaria o soccorso nelle aree metropolitane. (comunicato stampa AgustaWestland - 2 marzo 2007)
Fumigación Aérea Andaluza SA (FAASA) compra sei AW 119 Ke
La società spagnola Fumigación Aérea Andaluza SA (FAASA) ha ordinato sei nuovi elicotteri monomotori AW 119 Ke, con un’opzione per altri due esemplari. FAASA è uno dei maggiori operatori antincendio iberici nel campo dei mezzi ad ala rotante e fissa.
AgustaWestland è impegnata ad espandere la propria presenza commerciale sul mercato spagnolo, dove questo successo dell’AW 119 Ke, in configurazione antincendio, segue la vendita di altre macchine nel campo EMS/SAR. Il contratto con FAASA è anche un ulteriore passo avanti nella presenza di AgustaWestland sul mercato europeo degli elicotteri monoturbina.
L’AW 119 Ke può essere equipaggiato con il sistema antincendio Model 323 della Simplex, oppure con il più tradizionale secchio (bambi bucket). Il Fire Attack System Model 323 è costituito da un serbatoio integrale da 1.200 litri che permette all’AW 119 Ke di sfruttare tutta la sua velocità durante l’intervento. AgustaWestland e Versace, una delle più famose case di moda italiane, hanno deciso di collaborare per dare ai clienti AgustaWestland la possibilità di scegliere interni personalizzati per i propri elicotteri. L’opzione dell’allestimento cabina in stile Versace, con l’uso di materiali pregiati e lavorazioni a mano, si aggiunge alle altre configurazioni normalmente offerte dal produttore per i vari modelli di elicottero in versione VIP/Corporate. London Air Services acquista il terzo AW 139
La London Air Services ha firmato un contratto per la fornitura di un terzo elicottero medio AW 139. L’operatore canadese ne aveva già ordinati due, il primo dei quali è stato consegnato all’inizio del 2006. I due elicotteri in consegna saranno in configurazione VIP, e si aggiungeranno ad una flotta composta, oltre al primo AW 139, da diversi aerei executive.
London Air Services è il più importante operatore canadese del settore dei voli d’affari. Il suo secondo AW 139 è in costruzione in Italia, mentre il terzo sarà assemblato nella nuova officina di Filadelfia, in Pennsylvania. Piloti e personale tecnico della London Air Services verranno addestrati nel nuovo centro training AgustaWestland di Filadelfia, dotato di un moderno Cockpit Procedures Trainer e di un simulatore di volo dell’AW 139 certificato FAA livello D. Senior Táxi Aéreo To Operate First AW 139s Off-shore In Brazil
Brazilian company Senior Táxi Aéreo will start operating three AW 139 medium-twin helicopters for off-shore transport in May 2007. This will mark the entrance of this advanced helicopter in the Brazilian off-shore oil and gas transport market. Senior Táxi Aéreo, based in Rio de Janeiro, operates a fleet of medium size helicopters and is one of the leading operators in the Brazilian off-shore transport market.
The AW 139 is ideally suited for the off-shore role, with its large cabin and baggage compartments allowing it to transport 12 to 15 passengers. The two installed P&W PT6C-67C engines ensures the AW 139 has the best performance in its weight class, in all operating conditions. More than 210 AW 139 helicopters have been ordered to date, making it the best selling helicopter in its class. Aerolíneas Ejecutivas Purchases Seven AgustaWestland Helicopters
Aerolíneas Ejecutivas (ALE), the sole AgustaWestland distributor in Mexico, will add seven more helicopters to their inventory with the purchase of two A 109E Powers, two A 109S Grands, two AW 119 Ke, and one AW 139.
ALE is a company with nearly 40 years of experience in the sales, rental, administration and maintenance of both new and second-hand aircraft. In February of 2006, ALE was appointed as the AgustaWestland Authorized Service Centre in Mexico, and in July 2006, at the Farnborough Airshow, signed a Distributor Agreement with AgustaWestland.
Located at Toluca International Airport outside of Mexico City, ALE provides maintenance and repair services as well as maintaining a spare parts inventory for a range of AgustaWestland helicopters including the AW 119 Ke, A 109E Power, A 109S Grand and AW 139. Sloane Helicopters Ltd Signs A Contract For Thirteen AgustaWestland Helicopters
Sloane Helicopters Ltd (UK), within the framework of the multi-year contract and distribution agreement signed with AgustaWestland in February 2006 for the acquisition of a minimum of 44 helicopters, has ordered 13 helicopters to be delivered through to the end of 2010. This latest order is additional to the 10 helicopters already ordered by Sloane Helicopters Ltd last year.
Sloane Helicopters Ltd has been supporting AgustaWestland’s UK and Ireland sales since 1996. During these eleven years Sloane has sold more than 40 AgustaWestland helicopters in these countries. Sloane also acts as a Service Centre, maintenance facility and Type Rating Transition centre for AgustaWestland helicopters in the UK. AgustaWestland’s share of the UK light-twin VIP/Corporate market is already more than 70% with over 50 A 109E Power and A 109S Grand helicopters in service. Los Angeles Fire Department Orders Two AgustaWestland AW 139 Helicopters
Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) has awarded AgustaWestland a contract for two AW 139 medium-twin helicopters to perform fire-fighting missions. These are the first AW 139 aircraft to be purchased by the LAFD and such selection also marks the beginning of the AW 139’s deployment as a fire-fighter worldwide. This new role follows a wide range of parapublic tasks among which search and rescue, emergency medical service and law enforcement.
“Through design and development, the partnership between LAFD and the manufacturer has created an aircraft that will meet our Department’s current needs and those well into the future”, said Doug Barry, Fire Chief for the City of Los Angeles. “The AW 139 helicopter will provide greater performance through its increased air speed and allow for a greater margin of safety through engine performance. Synergy Aerospace Signs A Contract For Ten AgustaWestland Helicopters
Synergy Aerospace of Brazil, a division of Synergy Group, has firmed up orders for the acquisition of ten helicopters including AW 119 Ke, A 109E Power, A 109S Grand and AW 139 helicopters which will be delivered through the end of 2009. This latest contract is part of the framework of the multi-year contract and distribution agreement signed in July 2006 which agreed the acquisition of 56 helicopters.
This contract represents the third major contract for the aircraft in South America. It is additional to the eight helicopters already ordered by Synergy Aerospace last year. The helicopters, assembled at facilities in Philadelphia (USA) and Vergiate (Italy), will be used primarily for VIP/Corporate and offshore transport.

Rotor-City To Operate First AgustaWestland Grand In Canada
Rotor-City Inc. of Mississauga, Ontario, will receive the first A 109S Grand helicopter to be delivered to Canada. This new Grand will be operated on behalf of a private owner for his business operations and as personal transport. This news is especially significant as Rotor-City Inc. was also the first operator in Canada for the A 109E Power. The new Grand will be assembled at the AgustaWestland facility in Vergiate Italy and then undergo completion at the AgustaWestland Philadelphia facility. AgustaWestland Philadelphia has responsibility for sales, customization, parts and technical support for the A 109E Power, AW 119 Ke, A 109 S Grand and AW 139 product lines throughout the Americas. Gilgan Orders AW 119 Ke
An AW 119 Ke helicopter has been purchased by Mr. Peter Gilgan of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, CEO of Mattamy Corporation. Mr. Gilgan selected the AW 119 Ke for its best in class airspeed, range, performance and cabin space. Gilgan stated, "The AgustaWestland AW 119 Ke is a true time saver. TriState CareFlight Expands Their EMS Fleet
TriState CareFlight has once again expanded their Emergency Medical Services (EMS) fleet with the purchase of an additional AW 119 Ke. The EMS configured helicopter will enable TriState CareFlight to enlarge their service network and provide additional customers with the highest level of emergency air transport services.
The AW 119 Ke will be produced at AgustaWestland’s new high tech production facility located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Flight crews and maintenance personnel will receive their training at the new AgustaWestland Training Center that will be completed in mid-2007 and is co-located at the Philadelphia facility.

Kaan Havacilik Purchases Grand and AW 139 Helicopters
Turkish Kaan Havacilik has purchased three Grand and two AW 139 helicopters. The purchase of these models confirms the remarkable growth trend of AgustaWestland sales in the Turkish helicopter market, bringing to ten units the number of helicopters purchased in the country in the last two years.
Kaan Havacilik, located in Istanbul, is an established provider of helicopter sales and services including executive air transport and air tours. Kaan Havacilik is also the distributor in Turkey for AgustaWestland‘s commercial helicopters and has already purchased A 119 Koala single engine helicopters.

Spanish company Fumigación Aérea Andaluza SA (FAASA) has purchased six all-new AW 119 Ke single-engine helicopters with an option for further two. FAASA is one of the leading Spanish companies providing helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft for fire-fighting.
AgustaWestland is committed to further expand its commercial presence in the Spanish market where this AW 119 Ke success in the fire-fighting configuration follows the excellent results achieved by other AgustaWestland models in the EMS/SAR market. The FAASA purchase also marks an important step in consolidating the presence of AgustaWestland in the European single engine helicopter market.
The AW 119 Ke can be equipped with the Model 323 Fire Attack System, designed by Simplex, or with a more traditional bambi bucket. The Model 323 Fire Attack System features an aerodynamic tank design (1,200 litres / 317 US Gallons) that enables the AW 119 Ke to be flown at a high speeds during fire-fighting operations. London Air Services Purchases Third AW 139
London Air Services of Canada has signed a contract for a third AW 139 helicopter having already ordered two AW 139s, the first of which was delivered in early 2006. The additional VIP configured helicopters will complement their current air charter fleet that utilizes various business jets and their first AW 139.
London Air Services is Canada’s premier provider of private, customized business travel for executives. Their second AW 139 is being assembled in Italy while the third helicopter will be produced at AgustaWestland’s all new, high tech production facility located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. London Air Services Flight Crews and Maintenance Technicians will receive training at AgustaWestland’s Philadelphia facility using a new, state-of-the-art Cockpit Procedures Trainer and AW 139 Flight Simulator that is certified to FAA Level “D” standards.
