Air One Leases Noman

At the beginning of 1997, Air One announced that, on 23 December 1996, it has leased the operational activities of Noman, the small domestic airline based at Rome-Ciampino that was operating a fleet of two DC-9-15s (90.000 passengers in 1996).
The move, that reduces the crowd of carriers on the Rome-Milan trunk route, brought in Air One new human resources, two more aircraft and a batch of 14 much demanded airport slots at the Milan-Linate airport.
The agreement comprises the leasing of Italian Technics, the maintenance subsidiary branch of Noman.
In the same period, Air One signed an agreement with Air Sicilia, which operates two ATR 42s, to use one of these aircraft on the Rome-Crotone service.
