The first flight of Air Italy

The new passenger charter airline Air Italy started its operational activity on May 29, 2005 with a flight connecting Turin/Caselle airport to Budapest in Hungary.
This first flight, organized by the leading Italian tour operator Francorosso, was operated using the first of two Boeing B.757-200 airliners which will form the initial medium-range fleet of Air Italy. The airline plans to put also in service two B.767-300ERs to serve long-range holiday destinations.
The administrative office of Air Italy is located in Gallarate, the main town near the Milan/Malpensa airport where the airline has established its technical base.
