Air Nostrum Fleet Expansion

Spanish regional carrier Air Nostrum, which mainly operates on behalf of Iberia, is undergoing a large fleet re-equipment programme.
Air Nostrum, established in 1994 and based in Valencia, has a daily schedule totaling more than 225 flights to 40 destinations in Spain, Europe and North Africa.
At the moment this network is exploited by a fleet composed of different types of aircraft: a single BAC One-Eleven, some thirty Fokker 50s, five leased ATR 42s and six Canadair CRJ-200Ers. The airline is now negotiating with Bombardier the purchase of 29 Dash 8 Q300 twin-turboprops and 15 more CRJ-200Ers, with options for further 40 aircraft. The new airliners will be delivered from year end on. Some will be also used by Denim Air, the Dutch regional operator controlled by Air Nostrum.
