Dopo una attenta valutazione dei mezzi sul mercato, Airlift Northwest, società di eliambulanza con base a Seattle nello stato di Washington, ha deciso di acquisire quattro elicotteri Agusta Grand e due A 109E Power. Airlift Northwest utilizzerà i nuovi elicotteri in sostituzione degli attuali A 109 Mk II, in servizio da quasi vent'anni. La scelta dei prodotti AgustaWestland è stata determinata dall'accurata analisi delle missioni tipo, come l'ambiente operativo IFR, la velocità ed il raggio d'azione. Hanno influito positivamente anche altri aspetti come il prezzo d'acquisto, il supporto post-vendita e soprattutto il volume interno delle cabine, che consente una agevole assistenza ai pazienti trasportati.
Dalle comunità sparse sulle isole e lungo la costa pacifica dello stato di Washington alle remote località dell'interno, Airlift Northwest fornisce assistenza medica in una delle aree geograficamente più vaste ed impegnative del mondo. Tra l'altro, Airlift Northwest è diventato il cliente di lancio USA per la versione EMS dell'Agusta Grand, l'ultimo nato della linea di prodotti AgustaWestland.

Airlift Northwest, EMS company located in Seattle, State of Washington, after an extensive evaluation of available helicopter models, will acquire four Agusta Grand and two A 109E Power helicopters. Airlift Northwest will use the new helicopters to replace its existing A 109 Mk II fleet that has served the program for almost 20 years. An extensive evaluation that involved mission demands for IFR environment, speed and range, as well as total ownership costs, customer support and most importantly a favorable working environment for the medical crews led to the selection of the AgustaWestland helicopters.
From coastal and island communities in Western Washington to high desert communities in Eastern Washington, Airlift Northwest provides medical transport to one of the largest and most geographically varied service areas in the world. Airlift Northwest is the EMS launch customer in the United States for the Agusta Grand, the newest helicopter in the AgustaWestland product line.
