Ali su Aviano 1996 Air Show
On 7th July, a crowd of half million people attended the "Ali su Aviano" air show, jointly organized by the USAF and the IAF's 1st Air Region.
This public air event was one of the larger ever seen in Italy, with more than one hundred aircraft on display, brought in by the air forces of the following countries: Canada, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States of America and Yugoslavia.
For the first time in Italy, a Lockheed-Martin F-117A "Nighthawk" and a MiG 21 were seen in flying display.
