Seniors Day 2008 at Alenia Aeronautica

On October 18, 2008, the Alenia Aeronautica Seniors Group organized prize-givings for personnel with 20, 25 and 30 years of service with the company. Personnel with 35, 40 and 45 years of service took also part in the event.
The Pomigliano d'Arco plant hosted the prize-giving for more than 400 new seniores working at the Capodichino, Casoria, Foggia, Nola and Pomigliano factories.
The ceremony for the “northern” plants (Turin and Caselle) was held at the Caselle South Flight-Test Center, in Hangar N° 71. A total of 45 employees reached 25 years of service, 66 reached 30 years and a substantial number received their golden pin for 20 years of service.
At the Caselle South plant, a comprehensive static display, including most aircraft types now in production or undergoing updating was one of the highlights. Among those on dispay were a C-27J delivered to the Italian Air Force, a brand new EF 2000 fighter destined to the Italian Air Force, a Panavia Tornado IDS still wearing the insigna of the 36th Wing IAF, two single-seat AMX ACOL fighter bombers (one in special colours belonging to 13th Group/32nd Wing IAF), EF 2000 IPA 2 with an unusual array of underwing loads formed by six Paveway dummy bombs and two AIM-9L Sidewinder A/A missiles, mock-up of the Sky-Y MALE UAV, a Nigerian Air Force G 222 transport aircraft and the venerable Douglas C-47D previously stranded in the "civil side" of the Turin airport.
A spectacular flight display of an EF 2000 series aircraft, in the hands of company’s test pilot Cdr. Marco Venanzetti, concluded the Caselle event.
