Aviapartner Expands its Activity in Italy

Belgian ground handling company Aviapartner will expand its activity, next June, to the Turin/Caselle airport. Aviapartner started operations in Italy in November 2000, with services to KLM flights in Bologna. The company, a fresh shareholder of SAGAT (the Turin airport management agency), will now provide ground handling for 11 daily flights operated by Air France in Turin. They comprise five services to Paris, operated by Boeing B.737, Airbus A 319/321 family aircraft or BAe 146-200 (CityJet), and six connections to various French towns by Embraer 120, Embraer 135 and Beechcraft 1900D flown by Regional Airlines and Proteus Airlines, both subsidiaries of Air France. Aviapartner personnel in Turin will be recruited directly from SAGAT.
The Belgian company is now present in 33 European airports, located in seven different countries: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Sweden.
