Nell’ambito del salone Avex 2006, svoltosi a Sharm-El-Sheikh (Egitto) dal 7 al 10 marzo scorsi, la locale compagnia aerea Sun Air ha annunciato che inizierà presto ad operare con un ATR 72-210 – di seconda mano – sulla propria rete di collegamenti regionali. La Sun Air è un operatore charter privato, basato al Cairo e nato come joint-venture tra Orascom, Sun Air ed il gruppo tunisino Khartago.
“Per noi è un grande vantaggio poter contare sull’assistenza diretta della società ATR, che ci permetterà di raggiungere rapidamente gli standard di qualità a livello europeo. Puntiamo ad offrire ai nostri passeggeri un ottimo servizio in termini di comfort, sicurezza e puntualità. Gli ATR sono una combinazione perfetta tra versatilità ed economicità di esercizio. Ci sentiamo impegnati ad inserire in flotta altri aerei di questo tipo, ed aventualmente anche quelli della serie 500”, ha dichiarato Tarek Amer, Presidente della Sun Air.

On the occasion of Sharm-El-Sheikh-based Avex 2006 airshow, 7-10 March, Egyptian airline Sun Air today announced that they will soon be commencing its operations with a second-hand ATR 72-210 on its regional network. Cairo-based Sun Air is a private Charter Airline, a joint venture between Orascom, Sun Air and Tunisian Khartago group.
“For us it’s a great opportunity to have the support of ATR as it allows us to benefit from the manufacturer’s experience to rapidly achieve European standards of quality. Our aim is to offer our passengers the best in terms of comfort, safety and reliability. ATR aircraft are the perfect match, with their versatility and superior economics. We are committed to the type and plan to increase the fleet and to introduce new generation –500 series in the future”, declared Tarek Amer, Chairman of Sun Air.
