More ATR 72 for Avianova?
The collapse of Fokker on 15 March, affect the Avianova re-equipment programme to create three strong regional hub at Florence, Turin and Venice.
Avianova has a requirement for fifteen Fokker 70 but just five have been delivered out of a first batch of eight. Probably some more Fokker 70 will arrive but not enough to fulfil Avianova's programme.
A stop-gap solution could be to increase the number of ATR 72s; in 1995 Avianova leased four of them from Tarquin Ltd. EI-CLB "Lago di Bracciano", EI-CLC "Fiume Simeto" (in the picture), EI-CLD "Fiume Piave" and EI-CMJ "Fiume Volturno".
