OPERATION DECISIVE EDGE (1996)
184th Fighter Group, Arkansas Air National Guard

Today the Air National Guard operates air units in close air support, strategic bombardment, transport, airlift, reconnaisance, interception, special operations, tanker and SAR missions. It provides for 6% of the special operations aircraft, the total of the air interception forces with 742 F-16 Fighting Falcons and the remaining 59 recce Phantom IIs in the U.S. inventory.
Previously known as 184th Tactical Fighter Squadron when flying the F-4C Phantom IIs, the 184th FG ANG was later reequipped with Lockheed-Martin F-16As bearing the "FS" tail code.

In the picture: 82-0989 is a Lockheed-Martin F-16A of the 184th Fighter Group of the Arkansas Air National Guard, based at Aviano during the Spring of 1996. The aircraft was previously used by the 401st TFW at Torrejon, Spain.
