Il Ministero della Giustizia di Cipro utilizzerà i due elicotteri per compiti di ordine pubblico e soccorso. Questo ordine fa seguito all’acquisto di tre AW 139, nel dicembre 2008, da parte del Ministero della Difesa di Cipro, e conferma il crescente successo commerciale, a livello mondiale, del biturbina medio italiano.
Un gran numero di operatori ha ordinato o sta già utilizzando l’AW 139 per compiti di polizia o SAR in paesi come Giappone, Cina, Paesi Bassi, Gran Bretagna, Italia, Spagna, Estonia, Repubblica di Corea e Malesia. Complessivamente l’AW 139 ha totalizzato 430 ordini da parte di più di 100 clienti in oltre 40 paesi.

The Ministry of Justice of Cyprus AW 139s will be used to perform law enforcement and search and rescue operations. This success follows on from the contract signed by the Ministry of Defence of Cyprus in December 2008 for three AW 139s and is further evidence of the increasing success this model has found in the medium twin market where it continues to be the best selling helicopter.
A large number of customers have ordered or are already operating the AW 139 for law enforcement and SAR duties in many countries including Japan, China, The Netherlands, the UK, Italy, Spain, Estonia, Republic of Korea and Malaysia. Orders for over 430 AW 139 helicopters have been placed by more than 100 customers from over 40 countries.
