Due bimorori AW 139 al Dipartimento Antincendio e Soccorso della Malesia
Il Dipartimento Antincendio e Soccorso della Malesia, meglio noto come Bomba, ha preso in consegna due elicotteri medi AW 139. L’accettazione delle due macchine è avvenuta, alla fine di marzo, presso lo stabilimento di Vergiate dell’AgustaWestland. I mezzi resteranno ancora in Italia qualche settimana per completare l’addestramento degli equipaggi.
Al loro arrivo in Malesia, i nuovi velivoli saranno impiegati per compiti antincendio, ricerca e soccorso, ricognizione e collegamento. Il contratto di fornitura sottoscritto nel gennaio 2009 comprende anche la conversione dei piloti sul nuovo mezzo e l’istruzione del personale tecnico.
Gli AW 139 si affiancheranno ai due AgustaWestland AW 109E Power già in servizio con Bomba dal 2004. Al momento sono già stati ordinati 460 AW 139 da parte di oltre 120 clienti in quasi 50 paesi.

Il primo NH Industries NH 90 NFH alla Marina Reale Olandese
AgustaWestland, per conto del consorzio NH Industries, ha consegnato il primo elicottero NH 90 NFH alla Marina Reale dei Paesi bassi. La Marine Luchtwaart Dienst olandese ha ordinato un totale di venti NH 90 NFH. L’odierna occasione rappresenta anche la prima consegna ufficiale di un esemplare della versione navale dell’NH 90, denominata appunto NFH (NATO Frigate Helicopter).
Centoundici NH90 NFH sono stati complessivamente ordinati dalle Marine di Olanda, Fancia, Italia, Norvegia e Belgio per svolgere missioni autonome ASW (Anti Submarine Warfare) ed ASuW (Anti Surface Warfare).
Un totale di 529 ordini fermi - per la versione “terrestre” TTH e quella “navale” NFH - sono stati emessi da 19 forze armate di 14 nazioni: Paesi Bassi, Francia, Germania, Italia, Portogallo, Svezia, Finlandia, Norvegia, Grecia, Spagna e Belgio in Europa, oltre ad Australia, Nuova zelanda ed Oman fuori dal Vecchio Continente. 44 esemplari di NH 90 sono già oggi in servizio.
Il programma NH90 è gestito, come interfaccia governativa, dall’agenzia NAHEMA (NATO Helicopter Management Agency) che rappresenta Francia, Germania, Italia, Olanda e Portogallo, e dal consorzio industriale NH Industries formato dalle rispettive industrie: Eurocopter (62.5%), AgustaWestland (32%) e Fokker Aerostructures (5.5%).
Nell’ambito della ripartizione dell’attività del programma, l’AgustaWestland è responsabile della produzione di trasmissione principale, alberi di coda, sistama idraulico, sistema di controllo automatico di volo, portellone posteriore, fusoliera posteriore, installazione dei turboalberi T700/6E1 e computer di bordo. Inoltre all’AgustaWestland è stato assegnato lo sviluppo della versione navale NFH e l’integrazione dei relativi sistemi di missione.

In aumento gli elicotteri AgustaWestland in Giappone
Nelle scorse settimane, proseguendo la propria penetrazione commerciale nell’importante mercato nipponico, l’AgustaWestland ha consegnato altri tre elicotteri a clienti giapponesi. I tre nuovi velivoli comprendono il primo AW 119 Mk.II Ke consegnato in Giappone, un AW 109E Power ed un AW 139.
Il primo monoturbina da otto posti AW 119 Mk.II Ke era stato ordinato nell’aprile 2009 da un cliente privato ed è ora impiegato per trasprto VIP con base a Kitakyūshū, nell’isola di Kyūshū nel Giappone meridionale.
Alpen Co. Ltd, importante produttore e venditore di attrezzature per gli sport invernali del Giappone, ha preso in consegna un esemplare di AW 109E Power con compiti di trasporto VIP ed aziendale a Nagoya.
Il terzo elicottero partito per il Giappone è un AW 139 per la All Nippon Helicopter (ANH) che effettuerà attività ENG (Electronic News Gathering) per conto di emittenti TV, come uno degli altri due esemplari consegnati in precedenza all’ANH.

Two AW 139 Helicopters to The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department
The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) has taken delivery of two AW 139 medium twin helicopters. The aircraft were accepted by the customer at AgustaWestland’s Vergiate facility in Italy at the end of March and are now being used for training before being shipped to Malaysia later this month.
Soon after arrival in Malaysia the aircraft will be used to perform fire fighting, search and rescue, land reconnaissance and general support duties. The contract signed in January 2009 also included conversion training for aircrew and maintenance staff.
The AW 139s will supplement the two AgustaWestland AW 109E Power helicopters that have been successfully operating with the Bomba since 2004. The order book for the AW 139 has now reached nearly 460 aircraft with orders from over 120 customers located in almost 50 countries.

First EH Industries NH 90 NFH To The Royal Netherlands Navy
AgustaWestland, on behalf of NH Industries, delivered the first NH 90 NFH helicopter to the Royal Netherlands Navy. The Dutch “Marine Luchtwaart Dienst” has ordered a total of twenty NH 90 NFH (NATO Frigate Helicopter) aircraft. Today’s event marks the first delivery of a naval NH 90 NFH variant to a customer.
The Dutch, French, Italian, Norwegian and Belgian navies have ordered a total of 111 NH90 NFH naval helicopters designed for autonomous Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Anti Surface Warfare (ASuW) missions.
A total of 529 firm orders – both for TTH utility transport and NFH naval versions - have been placed by 19 armed forces in 14 countries including The Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Greece, Spain and Belgium in Europe, as well as Australia, New Zealand and Oman outside the Old Continent. A total of 44 NH 90 helicopters are already in service today.
The NH 90 programme is managed by NAHEMA (NATO Helicopter Management Agency) representing France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands and Portugal, and by the NH Industries industrial consortium comprising Eurocopter (62.5%), AgustaWestland (32%) and Fokker Aerostructures (5.5%).
In the framework of the NH 90 programme, AgustaWestland is responsible for the production of the main transmission, tail drive shafts, hydraulic system, automatic flight control system, rear ramp, rear fuselage, the T700/6E1 engine solution installation and on-board computers. Furthermore, AgustaWestland is also responsible for the overall integration of the NH 90 naval mission system for all NFH variants.

AgustaWestland Helicopter Fleet Continues To Grow In Japan
AgustaWestland has delivered three new helicopters to customers in Japan in recent weeks highlighting its continued growth in this important market. The three new helicopters include the first AW 119 Mk.II Ke to be delivered in Japan and examples of the AW 109E Power and AW 139.
The first AW 119 Mk.II Ke 8-place single engine helicopter was ordered in April 2009 by a private customer and is now in service as a VIP transport helicopter based in Kitakyūshū, Kyūshū Island in southern Japan.
Alpen Co. Ltd, a leading Japanese manufacturer and retailer of ski equipment, has also taken delivery of an AW 109E Power light twin helicopter which will be used for VIP/corporate transport purposes and operated from Nagoya.
The third helicopter to be delivered is an AW 139 medium twin helicopter for All Nippon Helicopter (ANH) to perform electronic news gathering (ENG) missions and is their second AW 139 fitted for ENG activity.
