2003: an Intercontinental Air Show
for the Powered Flight 100th Anniversary

Kallman Associates, one of the world's leading organizers of trade shows for aerospace and other industries, will present an Aviation World's FairTM in 2003 to mark the 100th anniversary of powered flight. The event is timed to coincide with the centennial of the Wright Brothers' historic flight on December 17, 1903. The Aviation World's FairTM also will pay tribute to the pioneers of flight including Alberto Santos-Dumont, Louis Blériot, Otto Lilienthal and others.
The fair will be a major international event on three continents, South America in March, Europe in June and North America in August 2003. Requests for proposals have gone out to 18 cities worldwide. Negotiations are underway for potential venues and sites will be announced in the first quarter of 1999.
Aviation World's FairTM 2003 will honor the achievements of flight from the Wright Brothers to construction of the International Space Station and beyond. The fair will feature pavilions highlighting the aviation firsts of many nations. There will be exhibits sponsored by aviation and aerospace manufacturers, suppliers and operators. In addition to the Wright Brothers, Aviation World's FairTM will feature exhibits on helicopters, soaring, ballooning, ultralights, general aviation, commercial aircraft, supersonic flight, women in aviation and space flight. The event will feature flying displays of aircraft from the early days of flight through World Wars I and II and the modern era.
