A silver Bell 505 Jet Ranger X light helicopter with the markings of the Republic of San Marino made a brief stop at Turin/Aeritalia Airport. The Bell 505 X prototype, a collaboration between Canada and the United States, flew for the first time on December 11, 2014. Canadian type certification (Transport Canada) took place on December 11, 2014, and U.S. type certification (FAA) in June 2017. Maximum take-off weight is 3,680 pounds (1,669 kg) and maximum cruise speed is 125 knots (231 km/h). Although more than 500 Bell 505 have been built for civil and military operators, it is quite rare to see this aircraft in Italy.
