Oggi la Boeing ha completato le prove di rullaggio del primo B.747-8 Freighter. Col capo pilota Mark Feuerstein ai comandi, l’aereo ha raggiunto una velocità massima di 90 nodi (166,6 km/h).
"Il velivolo si è comportato bene," ha detto Mo Yahyavi, responsabile Boeing Commercial Airplanes del programma 747. "In base alle prime indicazioni del test, l’aereo è pronto a volare."
Questa è stata l’ultima prova funzionale pianificata prima del primo volo, previsto per domani, lunedì 8 febbraio.

Boeing completed taxi tests on the first B.747-8 Freighter today. With Chief Pilot Mark Feuerstein at the controls, the airplane reached a top seed of approximately 90 knots (166.6 km/h, 103.5 mph).
"The airplane performed well," said Mo Yahyavi, 747 program vice president and general manager, Boeing Commercial Airplanes. "Based on early indications, the airplane is ready to fly."
This was the last functional test planned before first flight. The first flight of the B.747-8 Freighter is scheduled for Monday, February 8.
