L'ultimo nato in casa Boeing, il B.777-300ER (Extended Range) è stato presentato oggi al pubblico, presso lo stabilimento di assemblaggio finale della ditta ad Everett, nello stato di Washington. Per la prima volta, in un nuovo e suggestivo schema di colorazione, i tradizionali colori rosso, bianco e blu della ditta costruttrice passano sotto alla parte inferiore della fusoliera.
Il B.777-300ER è basato sul diffuso bireattore B.777-300, con raggio di azione aumentato di 1.300 miglia marine (2.407 chilometri), per un totale di 7.250 miglia (13.427 km), e capacità cargo incrementata di 43.500 libbre (19.700 kg). Il B.777-300ER è spinto dal più potente turbofan per uso civile esistente, il GE90-115B. La General Electric Aircraft Engines produce in esclusiva anche i motori del B.777-200LR (Longer-Range), l'altro modello a grande autonomia del B.777.

Boeing's newest jetliner, the 777-300ER (extended range) was displayed for the first time today at Boeing's final assembly plant in Everett, Wash. A striking new red, white and blue paint scheme incorporates for the first time elements of the Boeing livery on the underbelly of an airplane.
The 777-300ER is based on the popular 777-300 airplane. In addition to extending the 777-300's range by 1,300 nautical miles (2,407 kilometers) to 7,250 nautical miles (13,427 kilometers), the 777-300ER is able to carry an additional 43,500 pounds (19,700 kilograms) of cargo. The 777-300ER is powered by the world's most powerful commercial jet engine, the GE90-115B. GE Aircraft Engines is the sole producer of engines for the both of Boeing's longer-range 777s, the 777-200LR (longer-range) and 777-300ER.
