Boeing ed All Nippon Airways (ANA) hanno conseguito due primati: l'ANA ha ricevuto il suo primo B.777-300ER (Extended Range) e, con questo aereo, diventa il primo operatore asiatico ad utilizzare il servizio mobile Internet ad alta velocità proposto dalla divisione Connexion della Boeing. L'ANA lancerà questa novità il 15 novembre, sul volo inaugurale di questo velivolo da Tokyo a Shanghai, nella Repubblica Popolare di Cina.
Questa consegna è solo l'ultimo episodio di un anno eccezionale per Boeing ed ANA: in aprile le due società hanno lanciato insieme il Dreamliner, ultimo nato della casa di Seattle, a seguito dell'ordine della compagnia nipponica per 50 esemplari. Si è trattato della maggiore commessa "di lancio" mai ricevuta dalla Boeing per un suo nuovo jet. Comprende 20 B.7E7-800 a lungo raggio e 30 B.7E7-300 a corto raggio spinti da due differenti versioni del nuovo turbofan Rolls-Royce Trent 1000.
L'ANA è anche stata uno dei primi clienti per il B.777-300ER. Come più recente esponente della famiglia 777, il serie 300ER è nettamente più aggiornato e soprattutto più capiente. Il primo B.777-300ER dell'ANA trasporta 269 passeggeri: otto in prima classe, 63 in business, 24 in premium economy class e 174 in economica. L'aereo è in grado di coprire tratte da 14.270 chilometri (7.705 miglia nautiche), come la New York-Tokyo e la Tokyo-Londra.
Il velivolo consegnato è il 26° B.777 dell'ANA, ed il primo di sei B.777-300ER che il vettore con base a Tokyo riceverà entro la fine del 2007. Iniziando da questo velivolo, tutti gli aerei a lungo raggio dell'ANA saranno progressivamente dotati del servizio Connexion per i passeggeri.

Boeing and All Nippon Airways (ANA) marked two milestones, as ANA received its first B.777-300ER (Extended Range) and, with that airplane, became the first Asia-based carrier with the Connexion by Boeing SM high-speed mobile Internet service in its fleet. ANA will launch its newest service on November 15th of this year on the airplane's inaugural flight from Tokyo, Japan, to Shanghai, People's Republic of China.
This delivery is the latest highlight of a milestone year for Boeing and ANA. In April the companies launched the all-new B.7E7 Dreamliner with ANA's 50-plane order, the largest launch order for any Boeing jet. It comprises 20 long-range B.7E7-800s and 30 stretched short-range B.7E7-300s, both powered by two different versions of the new Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 turbofan.
ANA is a B.777-300ER launch customer. As the newest member of the 777 family, the 300ER series provides superior efficiency, economics and passenger comfort. ANA's first B.777-300ER carries 269 passengers - eight in first class, 63 in business class, 24 in premium economy class, and 174 in economy class. The airplane can fly up to 7,705 nautical miles (14,270 kilometers) on routes such as New York-Tokyo and Tokyo-London.
The airplane delivered is ANA's 26th Boeing B.777, and the first of six B.777-300ERs the Tokyo-based carrier will receive by the end of 2007. Starting with this airplane, ANA is equipping its long-haul fleet with the Connexion service for the passengers.
