Combatté tutta la vita contro le dittature e in favore dei popoli oppressi in Etiopia, Finlandia e Biafra. Nel 1975 si scatenò la carestia in Etiopia e von Rosen tornò in Africa per distribuire viveri nelle zone più remote del Paese. Il 13 luglio 1977 fu ucciso durante un attacco di guerriglieri somali al villaggio di Gode. Il suo corpo riposa in pace ad Addis Abeba. (Jan de Meyere - Stadsmuseet Stockholm)
A photographic portrait of young Carl Gustav von Rosen, the generous and combative Swedish “Flying Count” (1909-1977). He fought all his life against dictatorships and particularly supported the oppressed peoples in Ethiopia, Finland and Biafra. In 1975 a famine overtook Ethiopia and von Rosen returned to Africa to distribute food in the more remote zones of the country. On July 13, 1977, he was killed at Gode village during an attack by Somali guerrilla fighters. His body rests in peace at Addis Abeba. (Jan de Meyere - Stadsmuseet Stockholm)
