Bex is back!

From August 20th to 23rd, one of the finest European air show is back on the aerospace event calendar. The 10th Edition of the Meeting International de Bex, a town in South-Western Switzerland, will show to the public, in a wonderful alpine landscape, more than one hundred aircraft.
The small grass airstrip of Bex became famous in the '70s and '80s as a platform for its unique air shows, a mix of passion, history and thundering mack 2 plus fighters.
For the 1998 edition, the local flying club Groupe Vol à Moteur du Chablis, celebrating its 25th anniversary, was able to put together the best of the historical aircraft flying today, from "Korean" Mig 15 and F-86D enemy jet fighters, to "Normandie-Niemen" Yak 3 and their veteran French pilots over the bloody skyes of the eastern front in WW 2. Russian aviation will also be represented, for the first time in Europe, by the first monoplane, retractable undercarriage fighter, the small Polikarpov I-16, which made its maiden flight in 1933.
Corsair and Mustang WW 2 fighters, overflying Swissair's B.747 and the pionneering Roland Garros times, Morane Saulnier Type H, an other flying replica performed by Jean Salis, will be but some more stars at the show.
