Oggi la Cassidian (gruppo EADS), presso il proprio “Centro Sistemi Militari” di Manching, ha consegnato alla Forza Aerea Tedesca il 100° esemplare dell’Eurofighter EF 2000.
L’EF 2000 N° 100 – con l’appropriato codice identificativo 31+00 – è poi decollato nel pomeriggio per raggiungere la base di Noervenich (Renania Settentrionale-Vestfalia), sede del 31° stormo caccia bombardieri “Boelke”.
La Luftwaffe ricevette il suo primo Eurofighter dalla Cassidian (all’epoca Divisione Aeronautica dell’EADS) all’inizio del 2003. L’aereo da combattimento europeo divenne operativo nel 2004 e, da allora, ha effettuato 30.000 ore di volo senza incidenti significativi.
Attualmente l’Eurofighter è in servizio col 73° stormo caccia “Steinhoff” a Rostock/Laage (Meclemburgo-Pomerania Anteriore) e col 31° stormo caccia bombardieri.

Cassidian (EADS Group) handed over the 100th Eurofighter to the German Air Force today, at the Military Air Systems Centre in Manching (Germany).
The milestone EF 2000 - with the identifier 31+00 - took off in the afternoon for its delivery flight to “Boelke” Fighter Bomber Wing 31 in Noervenich (North Rehein-Westphalia).
The Luftwaffe received its first Eurofighter from Cassidian (then EADS - Aeronautics Division) at the beginning of 2003. The combat aircraft became operational in Germany in 2004 and since then has flown more than 30,000 flight hours without accident.
The Eurofighter is currently operational at “Steinhoff” Fighter Wing 73 in Rostock/Laage (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) and Fighter Bomber Wing 31.
