Aria di festa allo stabilimento di Wichita della Cessna Aircraft Company, per l'uscita dall'officina di montaggio del primo bireattore Citation CJ4 di serie. Il primo esemplare "di produzione" passerà ora alla fase di verniciatura e di allestimento della cabina passeggeri.
Nel frattempo i tre prototipi del Model 525C hanno già effettuato più di 1000 voli, per un totale di 1.600 ore, con la certificazione del tipo ormai prossima. Le prime consegne potranno avvenire a partire dai primi mesi del 2010.
Tra gli equipaggiamenti standard del nuovo Citation CJ4 c'è una suite avionica a quattro schermi Collins Pro Line 21, con mappe elettroniche e visualizzazione situazione meteo, TCAS II, EGPWS classe A TAWS, transponder Dual Mode S Diversity con capacità ADS-B, radar meteorologico Multi-Scan e modalità di discesa d'emergenza.
Il bireattore d'affari è anche il primo ad essere spinto dai nuovi turbofan Williams International FJ44-4A a controllo elettronico (FADEC). La cabina può essere configurata fino ad un massimo di otto passeggeri con toilette nella zona posteriore. Il Citation CJ4 è fornito di un impianto di intrattenimento di bordo Rockwell Collins Venue che comprende DVD BluRay DVD con monitor HD e radio XM.

Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. company, today celebrated as the first production Citation CJ4 rolled off the assembly line at the company's primary design and manufacturing facilities in Wichita. The first production unit will now go to paint and interiors.
In the meantime, the three Model 525C flight test aircraft have flown more than 1,000 flights and accumulated more than 1,600 flight hours. Federal Aviation Administration certification is in the final stage, with deliveries starting in the first half of 2010.
The Citation CJ4 also offers an extensive standard equipment list including a four-screen Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite with electronic charts and graphical weather, TCAS II, EGPWS Class A TAWS, Dual Mode S Diversity transponders with ADS-B out capability, Multi-Scan weather radar, Emergency Descent Mode, and an essential electrical bus.
The aircraft will also debut the new Williams International FJ44-4A electronically controlled (FADEC) engines. The cabin can be configured for up to eight passengers, plus a standard, belted aft lavatory. The Citation CJ4 also features the Rockwell Collins Venue cabin management system that includes BluRay DVD with HD monitors and XM radio.
