A German airship over Italy
A small GEFA-Flug AS 105 GD airship, operated by Balloon Promotion, an Italian specialized company, was used in 2001 to promote the logo of an Italian telephone company.
It took part in some advertising video-clips and, during the Summer season, it made a series of flights over some of the most popular Italian holiday resorts. The 42 m. long AS 105 GD, manufactured by the Aachen (Germany) based GEFA-Flug, has a volume of 3,102 cubic metres. It is powered by a 64 hp Rotax 582 UL engine and its maximum take-off weight, with a crew of two, is just over 900 kilograms.
