A seguito dell'interesse dimostrato dal governo del Cile per gli elicotteri AgustaWestland, il gruppo anglo-italiano ha siglato un importante accordo con la società cilena ENAER in modo da stabilire rapporti industriali nell'area. L'intesa punta a fare dell'ENAER un centro di supporto dei mezzi AgustaWestland in Cile e più in generale nell'America Latina. Ad oggi AgustaWestland fornisce appoggio ad un centinaio di elicotteri di propria costruzione nella zona; con una serie di accordi industriali, intende ora creare una rete di assistenza integrata, utile anche come strumento di penetrazione commerciale.
AgustaWestland offre oggi sul mercato elicotteristico un'ampia gamma di macchine nelle principali categorie di peso, civili e militari, dotate di svariati sistemi di missione per ogni tipo di impiego. Dal piccolo monomotore A 119 Koala da 2,5 tonnellate al trimotore EH 101 da 14 tonnellate.
Attualmente, con un fatturato 2001 di oltre 2,5 miliardi di dollari ed un portafoglio ordini di circa 7,6 miliardi di dollari, AgustaWestland, 50% di proprietà Finmeccanica e 50% GKN, risulta molto ben posizionata sul mercato elicotteristico mondiale. Grazie agli accordi industriali strategici esistenti con altri produttori del settore come Bell, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, si è anche generato un significativo ampliamento della gamma di prodotti.

AgustaWestland has signed a wide-ranging agreement with the Chilean company ENAER in order to build industrial links worldwide as a result of the Chilean Government's interest in the AgustaWestland range of helicopters. The agreement intends to develop ENAER's capability to support AgustaWestland helicopters in Chile and in Latin America. AgustaWestland currently support a fleet of more than 100 helicopters in the region and is developing a strong agreement network designed to achieve improved support for its helicopters and to strengthen its international team of industrial partners.
AgustaWestland can satisfy a wide range of needs from both civil and military customers with integrated platform systems that encompass all the principal weight categories that can be adapted to a wide range of missions. Such products range from the innovative 2.5-ton light single-engine A 119 Koala to the 14-ton three-engine EH 101 helicopter.
With a 2001 revenue of more than $ 2.5 billion and a civil and defence order book of about $ 7.6 billion, AgustaWestland, 50% each owned by Finmeccanica and GKN, is a powerful force in the world helicopter industry. Strategic partnerships have been forged with other helicopter manufacturers such as Bell, Boeing, Lockheed-Martin and these have further strengthened the product range.
