Turkish Phantom IIs upgraded in Israel
At the end of September 1997, the first two McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom IIs of the Turkish Air Force arrived in Israel to undergo avionic system upgrade by Israel Aircraft Industries.
The program comprises 54 aircraft to be modified with a new multi-mode fire control radar, head-up display and electronic-warfare system.
