Finnair is the European most on time airline
In a recent report released by the European Airline Association, Finnair was the top ranking on time European scheduled air carrier, for short/medium range flights, with a 92.1 per cent rate of on time arrivals. Just after the Finnish national airline were SN Brussels Airlines (89.5 per cent), SAS and Luxair (88 per cent). Alitalia ranks 15th with a 81.3 per cent on time rate.
With regard to the long-range market, Finnair is once again the most punctual company (87.6 per cent), followed by KLM (85.5 per cent) and SN Brussels Airlines (82.4 per cent). Alitalia ranks fifth with 77.8 per cent.
(Editor’s note: like any set of statistics, this one should be treated with a certain amount of caution, since the report apparently does not take in consideration the inequality of comparing a company with few flights with one with many flights, in the same period of time.)
