Newly formed: the Group for European Historical Aircraft Restoration Non-profit Associations

On November 25, 1995, at the Le Bourget Museum of Air & Space, in Paris France,the first meeting of a new group was held, formed between many European non-profit associations involved in restoring historical aircraft. The group is being established to develop collaboration and coordinate joint activities of these various associations throughout Europe. Attending the group were representatives of the following organizations:
In addition, the following British organizations have pledged their formal support: Imperial War Museum - Duxford, British Aviation Preservation Council, Classic Warbirds, Royal Air Force Museum - Hendon and Science Museum.
All the above listed organizations have joined the group's charter and have formally agreed to create a "Collaboration Group" between all the non-profit associations which restore and conserve historical aircraft in Europe.
This initiative is aimed at fostering the exchange of ideas, experiences, and information in addition to developing forms of mutual assistance in accomplishing the members' respective restoration programs.
The Group, which has also contacted other similar associations in Spain, Romania, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, is committed to extending this form of collaboration throughout all the European countries.
The president of the Federation Francaise des Ailes Anciennes, Mr. Jean Michel Daniel, has been tasked to prepare a draft of a charter declaration of intents for the Group, whose elements were proposed and discussed during the meeting.
