News from HeavyLift Cargo Airlines

British outsize-freight specialist HeavyLift Cargo Airlines announced plans to expand its activity in the passenger market. The move will obviously cause a name change for the airline.
The London/Stansted based company recently ended its long standing agreement with Volga-Dnepr. In the last ten years, the Russian airline operated some of its Antonov An-124 giant airlifters in close conjunction with HevyLift. From now on, HevyLift intends to lease Antonov An-124s from Antonov Airlines (Ukraine), when necessary.
HeavyLift fleet now comprises four Airbus A 300B-4 freighters with 44 tons of useful load, the two surviving former RAF Shorts Belfasts lifting 32 tons and a couple of leased 48 tons Ilyushin Il-76s.
