In Turin the IAA Symposium Every Two Years?

From 25 to 27 June 1996 it was held, at the Politecnico di Torino (Italy), the "First IAA Symposium on Realistic Near-term Advanced Scientific Space Mission" with the title "Missions to the Outer Solar System and Beyond". Organized by the Politecnico di Torino, the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) and by the "Giuseppe Colombo" Astrodynamics Center, it was an outstanding success due to the high level of the participants coming from many countries.

The IAA members expressed the intention to organize the next editions of the symposium in Turin, every two years.
