A few days ago a Nando Groppo Trial, a well known "bush" ultralight, made a call at Turin/Aeritalia airport. Its pseudo military livery, with checkerboard rudder and three Japanese "kill marks" on the sides, recalled the aspect of another Trial already seen at the VFR Meeting 2017 held at Boglietto airfield. The Aeromedia photographic archive was duly checked and effectively all the military markings were present on both aircraft including a "3" on the tailfin. But a not insignificant difference was evident: The Trial parked at Aeritalia sported the registration markings I-C273 while that seen at Boglietto had I-C237! The most plausible answer is a mistake when the markings were affixed for the first time, inverting the two last digits. Years later someone noted the discrepancy and rectified the error.
