Iniochos 2025 Air Exercise in Greece

Exercise Iniochos 2025 was an annual multinational medium scale INVITEX (Invitation Exercise). It was held in Greece, from March 31st to April 11th, at the Andravida Air Base where the Air Tactics Center facilities are also based.
Iniochos 2025 saw the largest ever participation for an INVITEX exercise with 12 countries involved. Specifically, the participating nations were:
France (Mirage 2000) - India (Su-30) - Israel (Gulfstream G-550) - Italy (Tornado ECR-IDS) IAF based at Ghedi airport - Montenegro (Bell 412) - Poland (F-16) - Qatar (F-15) - Slovenia (PC-9) - Spain (F/A-18) - United Arab Emirates (Mirage 2000-9) - United States of America (USAF F-16, KC-46, KC-135).
Greece took part with all types of the Hellenic Air Force including fighter jets, helicopters, transport, and training aircraft. Furthermore, Bahrain, Cyprus, and Slovakia participated as observer nations.
Throughout Iniochos 2025, all types of air missions were executed in a high-tempo, day-and-night operational environment, covering the full spectrum of air operations within complex and realistic scenarios. During the exercise more than 1,300 sorties were conducted throughout the Athens FIR (Flight Information Region).
The pilots of the Italian Air Force Tornadoes showed their high skill flying through the Vouraikos Canyon even in very bad weather conditions.

Note: Iniochos (rein holder in Greek) is referred to the classic statue on display at the Delfi Archaeological Museum.
