Il reparto, inquadrato nel 355th Wing, è basato sulla Davis Monthan AFB (Arizona) ed è l'unico reparto che utilizza i sette EC-130E dell' Air Combat Command.
Dal 17 luglio 1993, un distaccamento di EC-130E è operativo ad Aviano per lo svolgimento di misioni ABCCC (Airborne Battlefield Command and Control Center) sui cieli della ex Iugoslavia. Tali missioni possono comprendere fino a dodici ore di volo.

This unit, a part of the 355th Wing, is based at Davis Monthan AFB (Arizona) and is the sole operator of the seven Air Combat Command EC-130Es. From 17 July 1993, some aircraft of this type are detached at Aviano for ABCCC (Airborne Battlefield Command and Control Center) missions over the Balkan peninsula.
