Westland SH-14D Lynx 265 “Miss Turtle” della Marine Luchtwaart Dienst olandese in mostra alla manifestazione aerea di Leeuwarden (Paesi Bassi) nel 2008. I Westland WG.13 Linx - ridesignati SH-14D dalla Reale Marina Olandese – equipaggiano il 7° e l’860° squadrone, entrambi basati a De Kooij. Propulsi da due turboalberi Rolls-Royce Gem 42, ne vennero acquisiti sei esemplari per compiti Search and Rescue e diciotto per la lotta ai sottomarini, sia con impiego da terra che imbarcati. Caratteristiche principali: diametro del rotore 18,8 metri; lunghezza fusoliera m 12; larghezza complessiva fusoliera m 3,2; peso massimo della versione ASW kg 4.785; velocità massima 135 nodi (250 km/h) e velocità di crociera 120 nodi (220 hm/h); autonomia 319 miglia nautiche (km 590); armati con due siluri ed una mitragliatrice 7,62 mm; equipaggiati con radar, boa sonora e sensore FLIR (Forward Looking Infra-Red). Gli SH-14D Linx della Koninklijke Marine saranno progressivamente sostituiti da 20 NH Industries NH 90 in fase di consegna. (Aeromedia)

The Westland WG.13 Linx helicopters - re-designated SH-14Ds by the Dutch Service – are serving with De Kooij-based 7th and 860th Squadrons. They are powerd by two Rolls-Royce Gem 42 turboshafts. Six SH-14Ds configured for Search and Rescue duty and 18 SH-14Ds dedicated to anti-submarine warfare were procured, to be employed from shore or aboard vassels. Main data: rotor diameter 18.8 m; fuselage length 12 m; fuselage overall length 3.2 m; maximum weight of the ASW version 4,785 kg (10,550 lb); maximum speed 135 knots (250 km/h 155 mph) and cruise speed 120 knots (220 hm/h 137 mph); range 319 nautical miles (590 km 367 miles); armament: two torpedoes and one 7.62 mm machine-gun; equipped with radar, dipping sonobuoy and FLIR (Forward Looking Infra-Red) sensor. The SH-14D Linx helicopters of the Koninklijke Marine will be progressively replaced by 20 NH Industries NH 90s, now in the delivery phase. (Aeromedia)
