Bombardier Q400 (DHC-8 Dash 8-402) D-ABQH (n/c 4256 del 2009) operato dall’Air Berlin, in rullaggio sull’aeroporto di Berlino/Tegel (TXL/EDDT) nel 2010. Il prototipo del modello più capiente della famiglia Dash 8 (DHC-8-400) volò per la prima volta il 3 gennaio 1998, con turboeliche Pratt & Whitney Canada PW150A. Ancora una volta, rispetto al modello precedente, la fusoliera fu allungata (a 32,99 m), per ospitare fino ad 80 passeggeri, e l'apertura alare portata a 28,42 metri. Successivamente furono anche necessarie altre modifiche aerodinamiche e strutturali per ottenere le prestazioni di progetto. (Aeromedia)
Bombardier Q400 (DHC-8 Dash 8-402) D-ABQH (c/n 4256 of 2009), operated by Air Berlin, taxiing at Berlin/Tegel airport (TXL/EDDT) in 2010. The Prototype of the largest member of the Dash 8 family (DHC-8-400) flew for the first time on January 3, 1998, powered by PW150A turboprop engines. Compared to the previous model, main dimensions were increased again: length overall 32.99 m (108 ft 3 in), to accommodate a maximum of 80 passengers, and wing span 28.42 m (93 ft 3 in).
