Dettagli del primo KC-767A destinato all’AMI e presentato per la prima volta, in mostra statica, al Salone di Parigi del 2005. Si trattava del B.767-2EY Extended Range (n/c 33686 costruito nel 2003) con marche civili N767TT e spinto da due turbofan General Electric CF6-80C2B6F. Si notano l’asta di rifornimento; il muso dell’aereo con l’allora codice individuale AMI 14-01; il terzo punto hose-and-drogue ventrale ed uno dei due pod alari Sargent Fletcher per rifornimento hose-and-drogue (sul sito Boeing non si trovano immagini che documentino l’utilizzo di questo impianto). Details of the first KC-767A for the IAF and first seen in static display at the 2005 Paris Air Show. This was B.767-2EY Extended Range serial no. 33686 manufactured in 2003, with civil markings N767TT and powered by two General Electric CF6-80C2B6F turbofans. From left to right, top to bottom, the tail flying-boom, the forward fuselage with the then “14-01” IAF code; the third (ventral) hose-and-drogue point, and the left underwing Sargent Fletcher hose-and-drogue pod (the Boeing web-site has no images documenting the use of this device).
