ABC Lightship A-60 Plus G-HLEL "Spirit of Safety II" (n/c 010 costruito nel 1995), operato dalla britannica Lightship Europe Ltd, sorvola il campo di Torino/Aeritalia durante il "Goodyear Safety Together Tour" effettuato nel maggio 2011. "Spirit of Safety II", che al 31 dicembre 2010 aveva accumulato 12.942 ore di volo, ha mantenuto le marche originali USA N610LG fino al 31 marzo 2011, quando la sua identità è passata al registro aereo del Regno Unito. L'A-60 Plus Lightship, prodotto dalla American Blimp Corporation di Hillsboro, Oregon (USA), è propulso da due motori a quattro cilindri Limbach L 2000 da 60 kW (80 hp), alloggiati in gondole esterne, con eliche bipala MT-Propeller MT 150 RD80-1A. L'involucro può essere illuminato dall'interno per pubblicizzare il marchio anche di notte. La navicella ospita un massimo di quattro passeggeri, oltre al pilota. L'involucro di Dacron-Mylar ha le seguenti dimensioni: lunghezza 39,1 m; diametro massimo 10,01 m; volume 1925,5 m3. Il peso a vuoto dell'intero dirigibile, gondola e motori compresi, è di appena 1.216 kg. (Aeromedia)
ABC Lightship A-60 Plus G-HLEL "Spirit of Safety II" (c/n 010 manufactured in 1995), operated by Lightship Europe Ltd of UK, flying over Turin/Aeritalia airport during its Italian "Goodyear Safety Together Tour" effected in May, 2011. "Spirit of Safety II", which totalled 12,924 flight hours at 31/12/2010, has retained original US marks N610LG till March 2011, when its identity was transferred to the UK Air Register. The A-60 Plus Lightship, a product of American Blimp Corporation of Hillsboro, Oregon (USA), is powered by two 60 kW (80 hp) Limbach L 2000 four cylinder, horizontally opposed air cooled engines each driving MT-Propeller MT 150 RD80-1A two-blade pushing propellers. The gondola has accomodation for one pilots and four passengers. The Dacron-Mylar envelope has the following dimensions: length 39.1 m (128 ft 0 in); max diameter 10.01 m (32 ft 10 in); total volume 1925.5 m3 (68,000 cu ft). Empty weight of the whole airship, including the gondola with powerplants, is just 1,216 kg (2,680 lb). (Aeromedia)
