Nell’immagine, il prototipo del caccia-bombardiere Alenia/Aermacchi/Embraer AMX N.C. A05 (MMX599) in rullaggio sul piazzale della base di Treviso, il 16 maggio 1987, in occasione delle celebrazioni per le 200.000 ore di volo dei G 91R del 2° Stormo AMI. In quell’occasione, l’aereo fu pilotato dal Comandante Egidio Nappi, allora Capo Pilota Collaudatore dell’Aeritalia, in una dimostrazione in volo indimenticabile. Primo volo 26 luglio 1986. In mostra statica ai saloni Farnborough International 1986 e 1988. In mostra statica ad Aviano, il 25 settembre 1987, per l’evento finale della Display Determination NATO. Il18 marzo 1988, a Torino/Caselle, fu il primo AMX a volare con la sonda per il rifornimento in volo. Conservato a Volandia. (Aeromedia)
In the picture, the Alenia/Aermacchi/Embraer AMX ground attack aircraft prototype N.C. A05 (IAF serial MMX599) taxiing at the Treviso Air Base, Italy, on May 16, 1987, during the celebrations for the 200,000 flight hours of the G 91R fighter-bomber in the inventory of the 2nd Stormo. For the occasion, the aircraft was piloted by Cdr. Egidio Nappi, at that time Aeritalia’s Chief Test Pilot, in a spectacular flight display. First flight on 26 July 1986. Static display at Farnborough International 1986 and 1988. In static display at the NATO Display Determination final event, Aviano air base (Italy), on 25 September, 1987. On March 18, 1988, at Turin/Caselle airport, it was the first AMX to fly with in-flight-refuelling probe. Preserved at Volandia. (Aeromedia)
