Nel 1992, il capo redattore di Aeromedia collaborò con la delegazione commerciale dell’Alenia nell’ultima fase delle trattative per vendere il C-27A alla Royal Australian Air Force. Al termine della sua missione, egli si concesse una doverosa parentesi all’Australian War Memorial di Canberra. Alla fine della visita, e dopo un fruttuoso passaggio alla libreria del museo, si immortalò di fronte all’ingresso del Memorial, con sullo sfondo la ANZAC Parade. La vendita dei C-27A alla RAAF non fu poi finalizzata per sopravvenuti tagli e cambi di priorità nelle spese militari dell’Australia. (Aeromedia)
In 1992, the Aeromedia Chief Editor supported the Alenia team engaged in the final stage of the commercial effort to sell the C-27A transport aircraft to the Royal Australian Air Force. At the end of his mission, he paid tribute to the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. After the thorough visit of the museum exhibits (and bookshop), he indulged himself with a self portrait in front of the Memorial entrance, facing the ANZAC Parade. The sale of the C-27A to the RAAF was not finalized due to military budget cuts and changed procurement priorities. (Aeromedia)
