Piper PA-18-150 Super Cub I-BADC della Transavio in sosta all’aeroporto Torino/Aeritalia il 15 dicembre 1985. La ditta Transavio fu fondata nel 1919 e nel secondo dopo guerra, con base all’aeroporto di Bresso, operò nei campi della pubblicità aerea, del traino striscioni e della sorveglianza forestale antincendio. Nel 1981 inaugurò il volo stagionale di linea Pisa-Elba, nel 1983 il Pisa-Grosseto e nel 1984 il Pisa-Bastia. I collegamenti furono effettuati con un Alenia Partenavia AP68TP-600 Viator, un Piaggio P.166 Portofino e due Britten-Norman BN-2Á Islander. Nel 1989 affittò anche il Fokker F27 HB-ISH per collegamenti da scali italiani verso Lugano. Nel 1988 l'attività di terzo livello, poi sospesa nel 1991, fu trasferita alla nuova consociata Transavio Srl. In seguito quest’ultima incorporò anche l’attività di lavoro aereo della ditta originaria e sopravvisse fino al 2007. (Aeromedia)
Piper PA-18-150 Super Cub I-BADC of Transavio, parked at Turin/Aeritalia airport on December 15, 1985. Transavio was established in 1919 and after WW2, from their base at Bresso airport, it operated in the aerial advertisement, banner towing and fire protection surveillance sectors. In 1981 the operator began a Pisa-Elba seasonal regular flight followed in 1983 by Pisa-Grosseto and in 1984 by Pisa-Bastia. An Alenia Partenavia AP68TP-600 Viator, a Piaggio P.166 Portofino and two Britten-Norman BN-2Á Islanders were used for these connections. In 1989 the Fokker F27 HB-ISH was also leased to serve international regular flights from a number of Italian cities to Lugano in Switzerland. In1988 the third-level activity, suspended in 1991, was transferred to the new consociate Transavio Srl. Later this company also incorporated the air-work activities of the original operator and survived until 2007. (Aeromedia)
